This unique coin is produced using PMC’s innovative Bi-Metal Max technology, combining one ounce of silver with five ounces of copper. The reverse depicts a dying lion with its head bowed over a shield bearing a lily, a symbol of the French monarchy. Above the scene appears the Swiss coat of arms, representing the valor and loyalty of the Swiss Guards. The coin was issued to mark the 200th anniversary of the unveiling of the monument, created in memory of the heroes who fell while defending the Tuileries Palace during the French Revolution.
